    For buildings that have limitation on their area due to the size of the district, they not only have to satisfy the requirement on the function, but also to accomplish the goal of making the appearance both novelunique.
    In additional to the expertisewisdom that architects will have to present, the constructor shall also be challenged by the engineering feasibility. Therefore, Suzhou Modern Logistics Park Tower, a landmark located in the exit of Suzhou Industry Park, is a worth praising architectural piece of art.
    The special part of this project is that a solid ‘huge bridge’ was built by combining concretesteel structure. The bridge crosses on top of the Customs Check post, blending into each other. Meanwhile, it is also a building with high practicality. Piers placed on the two sides have six floors, which are used for different business areas.
    An Australian architect let one of the pier bend outwards, making it look like a big ship holding its bow high. A dignified bridge-shaped structure suddenly becomes vivid. Then we take a look at the under of the bridge, the endless car flowtraffic represents the symbol of the modern logistics. The main body of the bridge, on the seventh floor, connects the piers on both sides. It is in fact a 700 square meters sized multifunctional conference room. This huge bridge has a hallway connecting with the 17 floor high reinforced concrete building right next to it, forming the Suzhou Modern Logistics Park Tower together with a total area of 25000 square meters.
    Wethe Suzhou Industrial Park Design & Research Institute jointly designed the steel structure of the tower building together,we alone undertook the main construction work of this project. These steel structures are mainly used for the construction of building located on the conference roomthe ‘piers’. The columns involved are all made of steel pipes with reinforced concrete. Though the process of installing located steel pipesthen pouring concrete into them in the jobsite is very complicated, it indeed highly increases the building’s resistance to earthquakelateral force, while effectively saves the amount of steel been used.
    The experiencethe capability of the constructor play a key role in making the architects’ dream come true. For example, in order to build the ‘bridge body’ upon the multifunctional conference room to form a long-span structure, it needs a truss with 48 meter long4.05 meter high to accomplish this work. After careful consideration, we had decided to adopt the “welding first, erection later” proposal.
    As a result, all welding work of the bridge body truss was done at the construction site in one month time.
    On the day of formal erection for the truss, two huge cranes lifted it smoothly from the ground to the appropriate location,then used the third crane to moveadjust between the’’ piers”, assuring the accuracy when welding work was done for connecting the ‘bridge body’the ‘piers’. Finally, the three pieces of the ‘huge bridge’piers had become one single master piece.
    Today, Suzhou Modern Logistics Park Tower, a project plannedanticipated with high standard by the Suzhou government has been completed. It is now thrivingattracting eyeballs every day. Hua Yin with its rich experience in steel construction business, using less than 100 days to complete such an state-of-the-art building. The project involved the sound coordination of workforces to complete multiple tasks such as designing, fabricatingconstructing. It is not only a milestone for us, but also made significant contribution to the successful construction of the tower.
